"Miracle food" as they say Broccoli has a lot of health benefits because of its high vitamin content (vitamins C, K, and A). Just recently, broccoli was found to have anti-cancer agents such as diindolylmethane, glucoraphanin/sulforaphane, and small amounts of selenium. I found this great article from how stuff works and it details some of the pretty interesting information about broccoli.
The picture below gives you information about the nutrients you can get from a cooked broccoli (unless you want to eat it fresh as in a salad).
