You probably have heard about the new mammography guideline where healthy women in their 40's may not need breast screening. This is based on the study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine which further intensified the idea that self breast examinations does little or no good to even protect them from breast cancer so they concluded they're not advised to even do it anymore. I personally do not agree with this considering that we are surrounded by a community of women who have had such disease. While many of our women demands that the government give more emphasis on intensifying the screening process to identify women who has developed such disease, the government is headed to a differrent direction which seems odd.
Although the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force didn't do this without basis, I still think that they reconsider reversing this guideline and hear more from what the American Cancer Society has to say regarding the issue.

I always ask my girl to do breast examination regularly. She had undergone an operation before to extract the benign cyst from both breasts. And I do not want her to be a patient of cancer.
i am sorry to hear that but I am glad she's ok. Mammogram is really very important. Some people just don't realize the value of it.
